Maestro’s welcome

This signature serve cocktail from Brugal comes straight out of the history books as the founder Andrés Brugal used to welcome guests with a tot of Brugal, this tradition has been carried on to this day by the Maestros Roneros (Master rum makers) and thus a Maestro’s welcome is born)

This is a delicious rum forward cocktail with the coffee and coconut elements just serving to enhance rather than override the existing flavours of the rum itself.

Ingredients:

50ml Brugal 1888
10ml coconut syrup
1 dash of coffee bitters (or 5ml coffee liqueur)

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass

    If you don’t have one then any glass will do!

  2. Stir for 30 seconds (or until chilled & diluted)

  3. Single strain into glass over a large ice cube

    or in a fancy glass like the one pictured!

  4. [optional] garnish with a coffee bean
